Service Description
6 week classes 50 min. Session Handler discrimination is a class in which the dog searches for the handler’s scent rather than the odor of an essential oil. We will train on competing scenarios given for AKC & UKC in the various container classes where the dog learns to find the handler's scented article inside a closed cardboard box. We will build value for searching with different type of odor source for our scent like gloves, socks, cotton balls and swabs. We will search outside of boxes, hidden in a room, inside of vented containers and eventually closed inside of a cardboard box. We will also cover novice level distractions with another person's scent. Pre-requisite: Introduction to Nose Work Class is required before taking this class
