When can I bring my new Puppy to Classes?

Puppies can come and join group classes as soon as they have had their second sets of vaccinations.

Your new puppy should have been at least two weeks at home before joining our classes.

My dog is a bit nervous around other dogs. Is it ok if I enroll in a group class?

To ensure that your dog will be able to learn and have a fun time with you in class, we recommend taking a private session at our training facility prior to joining any group class.

Your instructor will let you know what are the best options for you and your dog after your private training session

What do I need to bring to class?

Depending on the class you and your dog are attending, the equipment required for you and your dog will vary. For all classes bring a variety of treats that your dog might love and a bowl of water to get hydrated during breaks.

Your instructor will let you know and recommend a harness, leashes, or collars you might need for your class.

If I miss a class, are make-up classes available?

All of our classes are in the format of 6-week group classes. You may take a class to make up for the one you missed for Puppy Class or Basic Manner Classes, which are been offered every 6 weeks.

Canine Good Citizen and other sports classes are not able to have make-up classes available since they are not always being offered. If you must miss a class please let us know and we will send you the week's homework to help you keep up.

How can I reserve a spot in a group class?

Click the Group classes tab on the main menu and select the class you are interested in. Then click " Book Now" which will bring you to a page with the start date of class.

Select the time of the starting class and click next. Fill in the enrollment form and complete payment.

Once payment has been received your spot in class is reserved.

What equipment/gear can I use in classes with my dog?

As supporters of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, we support a Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) approach to behavior modification and training. We recommend the use of training gear adequate for the activity to perform. Flat collars, harnesses, head halters, and other training aids are permitted and recommended.

Electronic collars, including remote control training collars and bark collars, are not permitted in the building. Prong collars and training chains (collars) are not recommended for use.
